How to Get Glowing Skin in 7 Days

Wouldn’t it be great if we had a fairy godmother who could just fix all our skin problems and give a
glowing skin with a mere magic wand?
Undeniably, it would be great but it’s still quite fictitious!
May be you have an event to attend in a week or you are just tired of waiting forever for a glowing
skin. Either way, we have the perfect solution for you!
We have curated a list of steps that you need to systematically follow for an entire week to get a
beautiful naturally glowing skin of your dreams!

1. Start with the basic CTM routine

If you haven’t heard about the basic cleansing, toning and moisturising or the CTM routine already,
you are missing out!
This simple yet effective routine is often skipped upon when people think of skin care. But, we want
you to religiously follow this routine twice every day, preferably once in the morning and once
before going to bed. Do this for 7 straight days and you’ll definitely notice a difference.

Step 1: Cleansing

Even though cleansing might seem like a child’s work, it really is the step where a lot of people go
wrong.
You need to first determine your skin type and then find a cleaner to suit it. Why else do you think
there are different cleansers for different skin types available in the market?
While you are at it, try to avoid cleansers that have a lot of unnecceary chemical junk. Instead, use
natural cleansing products if possible.
Also if you wear a decent amount of makeup on a daily basis, you can add up to this step by using oil
or cleansing milks to further unclog your pores. Don’t let laziness take over and double cleanse if
required!

Step 2: Toning

Most of us have had this wrong impression that, toners are a step that makeup lovers use to remove
makeup. Yes! This idea is completely wrong.
Toning can help in keeping the skin hydrated while removing the excess oil and dead skin cells at the
same time. In fact, there are toners that can even help maintain the pH level of the skin and keep
the pores tightened. However, make sure you use toners that are alcohol free to avoid drying out
the skin.
If you want to avoid chemical products completely, you can use natural toners like apple cider
vinegar, rose water, lemon juice, etc.
All you need to do is take a small amount of the toner on a cotton ball and wipe the face gently with
it.

Step 3: Moisturising

No matter what your skin type is, moisturising the skin is quite critical.
Most of the time the biggest culprit in making the skin look dull and lifeless is the lack of hydration. A
good moisturiser can help keep the skin glowy and healthy looking.
To make the moisturizer work effectively on your skin, ensure purchasing a moisturising that
specially caters to your skin type.

2. Use one face mask every day

We are not going to judge you if you feel that one face mask a day is intimidating. We get you!
But, if you truly want to see a difference in your skin in just seven days then this steps needs to
adopted ASAP.
You can either use one sheet mask every night or make face packs at home with simple kitchen
ingredients.
Don’t worry, we are not going to make you spend the precious time of yours on searching for face
packs. We present you with a list of face packs for each day of your glowing skin week!

Day 1: lemon, coconut oil, and honey pack
In a small bowl, add equal parts of coconut oil and honey and add ½ tsp of lemon juice to it.mix well.
Apply and leave it on for about 20 minutes. Wash thoroughly.

Day 2: fullers earth (multani mitti), tomato juice and rose water packTake 2-3 tsp of fuller’s earth and add 2 tsp of tomato juice and 1 tsp of rose water to it. Mix well.
Now apply it to the face and leave it on for as long it dries. Once dried wash your face and moisture
it thoroughly.

Day 3 banana, honey and yogurt pack
Take ½ ripened banana and add 1 tsp honey and ½ yogurt to it.mash the banana and the rest of the
ingredients to it. Make a smooth paste and apply it to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 25-
30 minutes and rinse well.

Day 4: gram flour, lemon juice, turmeric and rose water pack
Take 3-4tsp of gram flour and add ½ turmeric, 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp rose water to it. You need
to form a thick paste. Add more liquid if required. Apply it to the skin and leave it on till it dries.
Wash well and you will be left with baby soft skin.

Day 5: potato juice, yogurt and oatmeal pack
This face pack is going to work as a scrub as well as a face mask for you. To ½ cup of oatmeal add 2
tsp of potato juice and 1tsp of yogurt. Mix till it forms a smooth paste. Apply it to your face. Keep the
pack on the face for 15 minutes and before rinsing it off scrub your face. Wash with warm water.

Day 6: honey and cucumber pack
In a bowl, Grate ½ a cucumber and add 1 tsp honey to it. Now apply and leave it on the face for
about 30 minutes. Rinse well.

Day 7: sandal wood powder (chandan), rose water and honey pack
Take 2-3 tsp of sandal wood powder and add 2 tsp of honey and 1 tsp of rose water to it. Mix well.
Now apply it to the face and leave it on for as long it dries. Once dried wash your face thoroughly.

3. Steam your face!

So now that you are going to be following the above mentioned beauty regimes rigorously for an
entire week, you need to add this step of steaming your face twice during the week.
Taking a steam for about 5-10 minutes is going to open up all your clogged pores and prepare your
skin for gentle exfoliation in fact, scrubbing your face after a steam is going to help get rid of all the
dead skin cells along with the black or white heads. Leaving you with a baby soft skin. A good facial
steam can even help in removing out toxins through perspiration.
If you want convenience and the best results then, you can always use a compact facial steamer at
home.
But, if you do not want to spend anything on this step then, we have a DIY solution for you too. For
this, take a clean cotton towel and submerge it into hot water. Now, remove the towel and let it
come to temperature that won’t be too hot to put on your face. Once you feel you have achieved
the perfect temperature, cover your face with the towel and let the steam do its magic!

4. Duh, eat healthier!

A healthy diet has the power to provide you with an amazing glow from the inside. Believe it or not,
Consuming nutrient rich food is going to naturally moisturize and improve the quality of your skin.
Most people try to get into these’detox ‘hoaxes, when the easiest way to naturally detox the body
from toxins is by adopting a healthy diet.
Try to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables from the day 1 itself that are rich in different vitamins and
omega-3 fatty acids. Eat whole grains instead of those ‘healthy’breads. Try to eat vegetables and

8. Get a lot of sleep every night
